Wh?

My feed store orders from Estes, last year I got 4 wh from the hatchery choice ducklings they get, lost them in the great fox battle of last summer. So this year waiting till they had some and grabbed four and another duckling that looked like a wh, but was smaller and a littler lighter colored (still smokey looking, just not quite as much) I don't see anything else on their website she could be, is she just a litghter wh?

she is the smaller one with the light head in the front in both pics.
I say she though she is still peeping, two of the 'dark' headed ones started quacking a day or so ago.

I also have four I just hatched from a breeder, they all seem a little lighter colored them my 'dark' ones from estes.

I would think so. She may be a gold WH, or just an off color due to being factory production and not especially purebred (I've got some pretty weird looking WH from Metzer). Whatever the case, she's beautiful!

Do you know how old they are supposed to be? I'm guessing at least a month...I agree she looks similar to wh, but hard to tell, maybe a mix or as wifezilla mentioned they do change color throughout the year, AND she's not full grown...

Thanks for the replies! Can't remember when I picked them up guessing about 5 weeks or so. I always get the gold/silver thing backwards (assume silver would be lighter) but yes, she does look like pics I have seen of them.

The light one is a gold. It may be maturing slower than its buddies or it is just a bit younger.

Thanks wz! She is the same age, just has always been smaller and a little slower growing.
