Whale Watching Trip!

And here's a pic of The Lone Cypress on 17 mile drive. This tree is 250 years old, and has withstood many a storm. It grows alone out there on that rock.

Those are the smoke stacks that are in the middle of the u-shape bay. Where Monterey is at one point and Santa Cruz at the other point.

Thar she blows!

That's the tree, Tom Hanks was going to hang himself on in that one plane crash movie....why can't I think of the title now? All i can think of is..."wiiiiillllllsooooon!" (wilson)

You got me goin' with this. It drove me nuts I couldn't remember either. I had to look it up. "Cast Away"

P.S. I love the whale pictures. Something I would love to do some day. The only whales I've seen have been at Sea World in San Diego!

What an awesome thread and pictures, pBoo!

As for Whale halitosis, I guess I'm not too surprised since I don't think they make toothbrushes in blowhole size! Maybe next time if you get close enough you can pour some scope in the blowhole and then Henrietta's MIL can get a minty fresh shower....

That is one of the few things I missed when we moved from Ca(I was 14) in 1979...The whale watching field trips during grade school. Here in KY I would tell my school friends about them and they'd be like "HUH!?". They didn't get it...Guess you just had to be there. I always looked forward to these trips.
