Hello everyone! I have a 25 week old Midnight Majestic Maran that laid a very interesting looking egg yesterday. This is the first time getting an egg from her looking like this. Is this a sign of disease/infection or is it her body still figuring out the egg-laying process? She has been laying for about a month now and all of her eggs have been normal, no abnormalities. Immediately when I saw it, I thought it may be have been worms that caused this pattern so I treated all the girls yesterday with Valbazen. They had not been treated for worms yet this year so I figured if it wasn’t worms it wouldn’t hurt to treat them now regardless. She hasn’t laid yet today so I have no following egg to compare with. Please help, thank you!

Actually, treating animals (or people for that matter), for things that they don't actually have can hurt -- it can create resistance to the medicines for when they ARE needed.
