What’s going on

I noticed that my turkeys have bald spots on there chest. I don’t know what’s going on. It looks like new feathers are growing but not sure what happened or if I’m doing something wrong.

That's pretty normal this time of year. The wear them off sitting on the ground.

I was googleing on it and also it said they molt there feathers.

They don't molt until generally August or later. It isn't a molt quite year, just wearing off of old feathers.

Mine wear bald spots on their chests too. Like oldhen said....its normal. Your not doing anything wrong.

Thanks for the reassurance nothings wrong with them. This is my first year with backyard birds. Im learning as I go.my first year and already I had to learn how to flush a wound and sew it up. So one of my turkeys would live. Hahahaha

Not doing anything wrong. All my Toms are currently bare chested from pacing the fences. They're just starting some new pin feathers now
