What’s going on?

We received a batch of 8, only one made it this far. (5 days left to hatch) What’s going on with this egg? I’m asking this is the air sac, but why does it look like this?

That's common with shipped eggs, and called saddled. I get those a lot with shipped eggs, and they hatch fine.

Sorry this is your only one left. I hope it hatches! You might want to consider getting a buddy for it.

This made me feel 10x better. Yes we were pretty sad, but our USPS driver really shook them up. He placed them in our mailbox sideways and two came cracked. Thank you for the info!

And to add, luckily we are getting some chicks on March 5th, so I’m hoping he does okay!
