As you can see the shell is not hard. I’ve read it is due to a lack of calcium. She won’t eat crushed oyster shell even if it is disguised in cheese.

Please advise. Thanks

How long has she laid eggs like that? One or a few aren't a big deal but if it's been weeks, there's definitely something wrong.

What are you feeding her?
How old is she?
How long as she been laying?

Leave the Oyster Shells in a separate dish, she'll eat it as she needs. You could also try crushing up some Tums, Calcium Citrate w/D3, Calcium Carbonate w/D3 & feed in plain yogurt.

If she's a new layer, her systems working it's self out & I'd just keep an eye on her. If this is the norm, then she maybe have reproductive issues.

She is 14-16 months old.

They eat bulk pellets, Im pretty sure it is Layena and get all sorts of kitchen scraps, mostly fruit and veggie peels - bananas, tomatoes, apples, etc. No meat. Egg shells.

She has been laying maybe 10 months. (I wish I had paid more attention to how long...). This started about a month ago but it is not consistent.

I have oyster shells in a bowl but I’ve never seen them eat it.
Thanks

Cut out all the scraps and fruits for 10 days.
If eggs improve, you've overdone the treats. If not, something else is wrong. GC
