Originally thought pullet but it has lots of green showing in the feathers. 😬 it’s a Silkie Blue Astralrorp cross. (I think)

I thought the green would be Roo but I’m not very familiar with all that yet.

No, it's a black bird thing. You should see my split-to-lavender girls shine in the sun.

Its a hen green sheen means its getting fed a good diet its purple sheen you dont want

My understanding is that green vs purple have to do with the genetic based undercolor beneath the extended black. But I can't say that I really understood what I read about it.
