Oh my goodness I’m new to having chickens and I just want to say olive having them and they must be happy one if the hens I have her name is Faith. She was my 1st hen to start laying and hasn’t missed a day since. Anyway she just layed a 109 gram egg this thing is huge. I just have to tell someone I think it’s amazing. Just to let people know my hand is 8 inches long no lie!

Congrats on that egg! Yeah, that's a big egg! Are your birds pullets? If so, it can take a while for young birds to get their egg machines working properly. Some will lay very small eggs and some lay dinosaur eggs like this one. No doubt that egg has 2 yolks in it. Double yolkers can happen for a couple of months until the pullet grows and matures a bit more.
