What’s the rarest breed of chicken

Well I have had a campines that came in a variety pack of chicks once.
What would be rare to me in USA might not be rare in other areas of the world.
l think a true rumpless Araucana would be rare for me. Never had one, never even seen one.
In Chili they are a common breed.

I’ve always wondered what the rarest breed of chicken was 🐔
Probably something so rare we've never heard of it.

Rarity can change. If a breed becomes popular, more of them will be raised, and the breed will become less rare. And a breed that used to be fairly common can become rare as people stop raising them for various reasons.

And rarity varies by location. A breed might be common in one place, but rare in another country and not present at all in yet another country. That is especially common for places that are on different continents, because it's usually easier to bring chickens into a country next to where it originated, rather than halfway around the world and across an ocean.

Apa Recognized
In the US probably Catalana or Redcap since they virtually don’t exist in this country. I don’t know their status in other countries.
But there are others that are very close.
