Hi there. I adopted 3 pekins. 1 of them is healthy, 1 can walk but stumble and falls, the other one can only stand for few seconds and uses her wings to get around. Apparently they were bullied by chickens and I did not notice any swimming water when I picked them up, except a baby pool with green yucky water. I don’t believe the 2 could have gotten in. They were kept in a shed. One is laying eggs, I assume the healthy one. They are approximately 3 years old. I’m not positive how long they’ve been like this. The woman told me about 2 years!! Is there anything I can do to help them get better or is it too late. I have been giving them water therapy 3 times a day and they eat and drink but don’t roam around. The healthy one sticks right by them and won’t leave them. I’m at a loss and I feel so bad for them. We talked about euthanizing the one who cannot walk, but I’d rather give her a chance if I can help her. Please help!! Any advice would so be appreciated!! Thank you!!

It's not too late unless they stop eating and die. Please give them all a chance. Food, water, sunshine, no bullies. Others here can give you advice about supplements. The lameness could be from diet deficiencies or bacteria infections. I once saw ducks being kept in a dark, filthy dirty shed where the floor was totally covered with waste. I don't know how they could walk around without slipping all the time. The man moved them to his home pens, where everything was nice and clean, when I expressed concern for them.

I think with proper diet and added supplements you can get them to their optimal health. That's not saying they will walk totally normal - but better.
I would start by feeding them a correct feed. Either an all flock or duck specific and add in liquid complex b vitamin maybe also supplement with selenium to hit all bases.

I'd definitely get them started on the liquid b complex 1ml each a day for how ever long it takes. What their body doesn’t use they will pee out. And giving the water therapy and not letting them over do. This liquid b complex will say injectable but just pull out 1 ml for each one and put it over a tasty treat like chopped tomatoes, mealworms, watermelon etc.
I agree giving them every chance. Bless you for rescuing them.
