What’s wrong with this pullets face?

I just notice her wattle seems damaged and swollen and some bloody areas near her beak. Do you think it was an mechanical injury or possible frost bite? I notice she was scratching at it.

To me it looks like Fowl Pox.

What should I be looking for with fowl pox?
2 other chickens have a small black spot on their wattles also, but it’s just one small black spot like a peck mark.

You'll have to go out, gather her up and open the beak, take a look inside.
If you notice any lesions or material inside the beak, get some photos.

From that pic, it looks like the inside of the bill is clean and the exterior is damaged. I’ll see if I can look inside.

You'll have to go out, gather her up and open the beak, take a look inside.
If you notice any lesions or material inside the beak, get some photos.

I took a look in her mouth and didn’t see anything obviously wrong.
Any ideas?

To me it looks like Fowl Pox.

If there's no lesions or bad odor inside the beak, the I'd say it's Fowl Pox.

Definitely Fowl Pox. Treat it with some Veterycin and it should help. Watch your other flock members too, as its contagious.
