What’s your favorite duck breed? Why?

I love all ducks! My own are muscovy and pekin but I like seeing wild ducks on the pool and ponds near home. Wild mallards are great -- three dropped in at my son's yard this spring but we had to ask them to leave because of the risk of Avian 'flu. For a month this spring, there was a lonely grebe on a nearby pond. Then it was gone: I hope it went off with another grebe. In june two black-bellied whistling ducks arrived on a retention pond near me. I really enjoy seeing them all.

I have always loved pekins the best, but I agree that they have too many issues and that makes them difficult, though they are delightful. Recently I've really been enjoying my Buff and my white and fawn runner. If I was getting more, that's the direction I would lean. Although the welsh are great and my duclairs are sweet and smart and cute. They're all so great!!

I’ve never heard of some of theses breeds I just have one Rouen and two blue Swedish

i have 2 pekin, 1 khaki, and 1 rouen!

I have a Pekin and khaki and they made Rouen looking girls and mallard looking boys

female rouens? my girl has a mostly black beak, with a couple freckles!

I have 1 Pekin hen
1 khaki drake
5 of their off spring the girls look like Rouen and boys look mallard
I also have 2 Swedish with a touch of Rouen gene and 1 purebred silver / blue Swedish
I can’t pic my favourite but miss daisy my Pekin was our first duck so she has a special place in my heart

Yes everything on google says orange!!

I think this is a girl but her beak is NOT orange
