What a difference 50 days can make!

50 days ago, I impatiently set eggs for my chicks & here are they are now...enjoyin' some sun...

I know exactly what you mean. I was sitting outside today watching the flock and having a very similar thought - I bought some eggs through the mail, and now they are these amazing little creatures! I can never get over the tenacity of life.
