I need to vent about my idiocy.
I picked up 4 rabbits today. A brother and sister approximately 2 1/2 months. A doe approx 4-5 months. A doe approximately 1 1/2 months (but tiny). I got the majority of the hutch done yesterday but didn't have time to put the wire on tonight so I thought, it's only one night I should be able to keep the bigger 3 in a dog kennel together and the little doe in a cardboard box in the kennel. Oh no. BIG MISTAKE. Luckily I was outside when it happened or it could of been a lot worse. The little doe was climbing out of the cardboard box and the big doe noticed it, got mad and totally attacked the little bunny! Fur was flying! Okay so maybe just a little fur, but it was so scary! I screamed and the big doe stopped, but then the little bunny was scared to death and squeezed out of the cage. Then the big doe started attacking the other two bunnies still in the kennel. So there I am making loud noises trying to get her off the bunnies, trying to catch the baby bunny running on the ground away from me, and screaming for my husband to help me. They are now all separated for the night needless to say.
What a mess. Learn from my mistake. Finish your hutch before you bring your rabbits home.
Any thought of doing a colony has gone out the window with this lady rabbits attitude
