What a scare

It was a beautiful day here so I had the dogs outside while I was doing stuff around the house . I had to run to the store so I went outside to put the dogs away and check on my birds . Charlie our shepherd cross was IN the duck pen harrasing my ducks , my turkeys were pretty shook up too as they're pen runs adjecent to the ducks . Luckily no one was injured or killed .

I just got my ducks this past saturday so they're still getting used to their new home , today was the first day the started to really explore their pen and swim in their pool . I guess the activity got the dogs attention . I'm so glad I went out when I did . I fixed the fence and he shouldn't be able to get in again .

Thankfully everyones okay , this time . I'm going to have to be really careful with this dog from now on .

I know how you feel, one of my setters got in the chicken pen, he opened the latch and let himself in. He didn't touch them though, when I found him he was helping himself to a nice tasty meal of chicken poo and scratch grains. Not too bad for a bird dog.
