What a way to wake up!

Pips! 3 of 8 guinea eggs (so far) greeted me with taps and chirps when I checked on them! What a terrific way to greet the day, especially since I had been up half the night with a friend; he almost chopped the end of his finger off with a splitting wedge and he wound up being admitted so that he could have surgery today. They're letting him come home this afternoon. When I talked to him about the eggs pipping, he perked right up.

Ahh, the magical effects of hatching!

I hope your friend has full use of his finger and I am so happy to hear about your eggs pipping. I went to bed amazed that I had a pip last night (today was suppose to have been lockdown with the hatch date of July 9th). This morning when I got woke up I had a total of 10 pips and now I have 15 pips.
