Sorry, I still have to do a build thread. I just went and grabbed some pictures on my phone. I'll describe as best I can and then edit the post with pictures.I have a question about your wood door frame: how is it attached? There's no bottom board that would give it more stability.
Also, are those 2x4s or 4x4s?
If you have a build thread I would love to see it, for the details.
@Krugerrand
The front/back walls are cattle panel that go to about 2/3 the height of the run. I roughly cut them to match the slope of the ground. That also gave me long 'spokes' to push into the ground for some added stability.
The cattle panel was cut for an opening for the door. That left for a U-shaped cattle panel wall.
Inside the run I have pressure treated 2x4's that frame out the door. They simple sit on bricks and extend to the top of the run. I used a jigsaw to cut them close to the curve of the arch. They are held together by scrap pieces of 1x4. On the outside of the run are 1x4's. They are screwed to the 2x4's to sandwich in the last wire of the cattle panel.
^^^^ That little scrap PVC strip protected the birds that would get toes stuck between the wood if they weren't careful.
Then I used galvanized hanging strap (something like this but with holes in it) and used that to attach the frame to the arch.
It was wood-cheap, but screw expensive.
Fortunately, chicken runs are not subject to the building inspector's approval!
