What about sand as flooring for goat shed?

Any thoughts regarding sand for the flooring of a goat shed?

We also have rocks (large pea gravel - river rock, maybe) would that do if it were embedded in sand and dirt?

I would just gofor the sand alone. That way--you can just use a scoop like a kitty litter scoop to pick up the nuggets. Is this for inside or outside? I would recommend this for outside,and inside using shavings and the kitty litter type scoop.
