what age are roosters supoosed to start crowing?

Hi!
my family has a welsummer rooster that's 5-6 months old and he hasn't started to crow yet. What age do roosters start to crow? Cause we have lots of neighbors saying that he should be crowing by now.

Some start at 3 months and some at 9 months Also if there is a older dominate rooster around that will delay crowing for a long time. I had a father and son where the son didn't crow till about almost a year old and only then if there was a building between them. It will happen if you have a cockerel just in his own time.

huh that's kinda odd cause he's the only rooster in the flock.
