What age can I tell the sex of tweety?

I have to get her a friend-even though she loves the one on one attention- so I was wondering when can I start to figure out what sex? Like I know it’s not definite before they are adults but it would be nice for some idea. I wouldn’t want to end up with two toms, though I think it might be a girl, because I would keep both of them but separated. My philosophy is once it’s in my house, it’s staying because it’s part of the family and I love them all even though it might be difficult. Heck, all of my female dogs don’t get along besides two that don’t get along with the rest, so I get to put them out and in all day one by one. Now that’s so fun!! They are having more lavenders or blue slates next week hopefully so I can pick one. Is there any way to semi accurate sex them?

It is possible to sex poults as early as a day old if they are sex linked. One such case would be if a Chocolate tom was bred to a Black hen. In that case all of the Chocolate poults will be female and all of the Black poults will be male.

I have no idea what color the hen and Tom were. All I know is that they sell chocolates,blues,lavenders,blacks, and white palms and some palms mixed with a bb.

since I am here, I might as well ask. Do turkey poults usually yawn a lot? Like it kinda worries me because she yawns quite a few.

Also, is it normal for there to be some orangish colored blood in a few poops? It’s not like everyone but maybe every over ten poops. Her poop is fine beside the orange. You can see the two orange lines on the paper in the pic that are circled in black

Turkeys, like chickens have regular and cecal droppings. The cecal ones are not as frequent. That doesn't look like blood to me but if coccidiosis is a problem, there will be blood in the droppings. In that case, treat with Corid.

She yawns a bit so I was like, is that a gapeworm? I don’t think it is but I don’t want to miss something and have her die on me because I didn’t just ask. Considering I have had my oldest and most loved hen, my 4 year old dog that I delivered in my car, and three goslings die on me within 6 months. I really can’t be too careful right now since the universe is out to make my life hell this year.

Is it normal for turkey poults to yawn? I have looked at videos of chickens gasping for breath and her isn’t like that I think. She only does it for like a second you can blink and you barely noticed. It’s not like she is sticking her head out and gasping. She does it quite often though.

It’s been really hot today. My hen died for heatstroke today because the Ducks had somehow flipped the kiddie pool over and she couldn’t get out. I didn’t know she was under there for about two hours. I believe it was heatstroke but not a hundred percent sure as our other two sapphire gems before we got her have died suddenly too. The baby is obviously in the house and under a heat lamp. I am not really sure of the temp under but I don’t have it burning down right on her. She has yawned since I got her though and I have tried to look in her mouth before but I don’t see any worms or something. I left her light somewhat off today because it was about 90 in the house but she still was doing the weird jerking yawning motion sometimes. I don’t believe it’s like a gasping for air thing because she isn’t doing it like to breath it’s a really quick yawn then she is fine.
