what age can i wash this chick>

its a few day old silkie rir mix. it was almost shrinkwraped and i got most of the membrane off but there is still some in the back hair. w=how long should i wait befor i giv it a quick wash?

I had a couple I helped out that were sticky like that about a month ago, and I washed them the next day. I had running warm water, put the chick's back under the water, used a little baby shampoo, rinsed the chick, and then blow dried it until fluffy (I think they like this part!). I did this for two or three and they are all happy and healthy as of today!
