What age can you introduce ducklings to drakes?

We currently have our 4 month old aylesbury hen separated from our 2.5 year pekin drake. She is fine with our 2 year old campbell hen, no pecking. But we put them together when we can supervise, our drake is trying to mate her. Is she too young? I'm worried if he's successful it may cause damage if she's not laying yet?

I would give it some more time. The larger breeds need a little longer to fully mature from what I have read. Can you try again in three months? Just thinking about how long it took for my Runners to really finish developing.
