...or your kids get involved in 4H? I think it'd be great for my kids to show pygmies and chickens (once we can get some show quailty birds) but they are 4&5 yrs old ... I wasnt in 4H till I was like 9 or 10, but I think DS #1 could easily handle it by next year...

My daughter just started this year and she is 9. I'm sure we would have started sooner, but we just got some show quality chickens this year. There are some 4Hers at the meetings that are a few years younger than her.

My son is 5, but I don't think 4H interests him. He doesn't like holding anything that might poop on him. Lol!
