What age do bantam roos start breeding

I have a couple bantam roos that were supposed to be "July babies" and they started crowing this week and one has started trying to breed the lil pullet chicks that are not laying eggs

Is this just "practice" or are they breeding age already? The person I got them from was kinda sketchy so they may be older than July babies but they are small, even for bantam sized birds
