what age do silkies go broody?

I'm getting 2 3 1/2 month old silkie pullets today and I was wondering what age do they go broody? And when should I be expecting an egg?

Silkies can go broody pretty much anytime after they start to lay. As to when... Well some start around 5 months and others take up to a year or more. I've been told that the better quality the silkie the longer it can take because they mature so slowly. I have a year old hen that just started 2 days ago. Hope that helps.
