My girls are 6.5 weeks old now. One is highly suspected to be a roo.

I'm getting more and more attached to it, and I wish the dang thing would crow already so I would know for sure- so I can start looking for a new home for him! It's a barred rock standard. None of them have started clucking yet- still peeps, but deeper peeps. What I call peeping ilke how an adult regular bird sounds. I'm just curious, and probably one of the most impatient people I know.

Roosters crow before pullets cluck. The latter will gradually change their voices and chatter, so that you suddenly realize - at about 5 months old - that they're actually clucking and cackling like chickens.
