My chicks are around 6 weeks old and getting big...What age do I take them off their medicated starter feed? I have about 20 lbs left, can I continue feeding this till it's gone or should I change to something else?

what I tend to do is mix crumbs with growers at 4-5 weeks and then growers only at about 8 weeks

that gives them an easy transition

medicated feed doesn't matter as some growers are ACS so ACS can be given up to 16 weeks or at least up to 2 weeks before process

Feed till its gone. They will finish it fairly fast now that they are older. I don't like to have feed hanging around and getting old. Then go to a grower you can feed that even after they start to lay if they have a calcium supplement.

Yup. Why waste expensive feed. It'll be gone in no time.
