Unfortunately, my black sex linked pullet is looking more like a rooster. I really like him a lot but I'm going to have get rid of at a local farm with other chickens. I purchased all layers, so I don't want him around, when is time to ship him out? 8(:(

can you post a picture of the bird in question? You say he is "looking more and more" like a rooster - with BSL there is no question of gender - so I am curious about the phrasing and whether you may be misjudging the gender and considering re-homing needlessly.

I'm away from the coop, but he's barred so I'm thinking he's definitely male. So just wondering about when to move him.

Yeah- i was hoping you'd post a pic of an oddball pullet that was just coloring slower/faster than her flock mates (have seen that in other situations where people thought they had a roo) -- if he's barred he's definitely a he. If you wanted, you could raise him to eating size and butcher, otherwise, I'd send him off as soon as possible as if you are sure you don't want a roo and it's obvious he is a roo, there isn't any point to continuing to pay to feed him, etc for no return.
