What age pigeons start breeding?

Ive had pigeons for a while. I just never pay attention and let them do their thing.

What are do they start breeding and laying?

I have one female that has laid 2 eggs before and raised them, but her last few times shes only laying 1 egg? Reasons?

I have had a couple of experiences with hens laying only egg. In both cases it was aged hens, and they eventually stopped reproducing.

This hen isnt old. Shes 1yo at most, this is her 5th egg shes ever laid.

do they have oyster shell or other source of calcium? If not she may not be getting enough calcium to make the second egg.I

Some pairs do just lay one egg. It is no big deal if they do. In some cases, the single squab will benefit from being the only child.
