What age should I put roosts in the brooder?

Yeah, now that mine are enjoying it so much I wish I had put it in sooner. When I left for work this morning they were all sitting on it, and one was trying to sleep. Then one of them jumped on the other one and tried to roost on HER. Funny little chickies!
