When is it a good age to let those babies out to free range with the big girls?
Mine are almost 3 moths they are Jersey giants so they are big for their age . They are very active in their coop run.I have them in a run next to the big girls .They are able to see each other and hopefully they watch and learn from the big girls .
But will they know enough to come back to the coop when it's time to go in?

I let my human raised chicks integrate with the flock at four weeks, but they usually don’t work up the courage to leave the run to range until six or seven weeks. So I think your three month olds can go out anytime.

My brooder raised chicks move to their separate coop area, with a heat source, at three weeks, and start going outside with the group when their need for extra heat is over, at five weeks or so. They take another month or so to integrate well, but it works out fine. The chicks will return to their area at night for several weeks, and are locked in their with their food and water overnight.
I always have several food and water stations in different areas, so nobody goes without.

Thanks for confirming what I thought might be the case!

They are black with the prettiest rainbow colors down their backs and super sweet .One has turned out to be a roos and I can't keep him where I live because of the noise ordinance :-( and yet no noise ordinance against barking dogs 24/7!! I have to try to revoke him I am afraid of trying the NO Crow collar
