What age to mix BWs

You should NEVER make a Blanket Statement like that!!
I raised Bobs off and on for 25 years, totally agree with "twocrowsranch" put them on "NEUTRAL TERRITORY" and things seem
to get a whole lot better fast!! The answer is YES, you can mix them, just keep an eye on them!!!

Sorry I am just going by what I was told from a guy who raised and still raises bobs.

Any age of ANY type of quail are gong to fight. Mixing chickens, pheasants, ducks, what have you...and flocks fight. It is not just a Bobwhite thing. Bob's tend to be more aggressive than other quail, but you can mix your poultry together if it is done right.

It's been 12 days and everyone is getting a long great. I expect problems in the Spring and have problems with a longstanding covey where they turn on their own and fight. I am considering this a success. The younger group has excelled and it is getting difficult telling them apart from the original 4.

You never no till you try. I had a rescued Dominique pullet that I added to a flock of 10 RIR hens & one RIR Roo. Everyone said it couldn't be done. Well, I'd never do it again but she has lived with them for almost a year now.
