What age to start feeding mealworms?

My older girls LOVE the fact that, thanks to you guys here at BYC, I have discovered the art of treating them with mealworms from time to time. They send their thanks btw.

I have some 2-week old standard-size chicks that I am tempted to give some of the smaller mealworms to. Are they too young? If so, what would be a good age to start?

I started feeding all kinds of treats at 2 weeks old including earthworms. They loved it!
