I just got my little bitty dutch bantams and are very small and i want to hatch more this spring but when will they start laying and i have some cochin silkie crosses just 2 theyre 4 months old and i need to know if they'll go broody next spring so they'll hatch my eggs for me which is their main purpose for me anyway

Calm down and enjoy your chicks. They are still babies. If they start laying this autumn, there is a possibility that they may go broody this year. If not, you can count on broodiness next spring. Silky crosses have been some of the best mothers that I have ever had.
