What Age Will They Start Laying?

My wife and I grew out some Embdens last year. We butchered several and kept 5. They will be a year old the first week of April.

Should I expect the females to start laying this year? We would like to hatch our own if possible.

It certainly seems possible - there are more than a few threads on here posted by folks whose Embdens were less than a year old when they began laying.

My Pilgrims from last year have started, and I just filled the incubator. It's gosling season!
