WHAT AGE?

Are the birds roosting reliably? If so, best to open nests in advance of when you need them, to ensure 1) birds will continue roosting even with nests open (and if not, then you can think about how to keep them on the roosts) and 2) to allow pullets to explore nests so when time comes to lay, they'll give the boxes consideration as safe spots to use.
Thank you. Yes, they are very reliable on the roosts. Every evening when I go out to secure the coop, they already have themselves on the roost ready for bed.
