sorry I missed this thread. when I saw the first pic I thought it was a pure guinea chick. Guinea crosses tend to look like vultures to me. Have fun!!

Yes a lot of them do look rather different! This guy has the real malay shape with a guinea face so far, I can't wait to see him all grown up! If anyone is interested I'll post regular pics as he grows I also have 2 more hybrid eggs due ina few days time, fingers crossed they hatch.
