Thanks for all your replies everyone! As it turns out, my daughter was talking to her Sonshine club teacher last Friday about him and she has a mini rescue farm. She is in need of a rooster for her girls as the one she has is going to be returned to his original owner (long story). So happily, he won't be dinner as he's such a nice guy and she doesn't care what breed he is! Thanks again everybody.
