What age can you start the pellets?

As soon as they are big enough to swallow them. I can't find grower pellets so they get crumble till about 16-20 weeks old. My standards could gobble down pellets no problem by the time they are 2-3 months old. I mean, they manage to choke down whole cooked elbow noodles so they can get a pellet down.

True.. mine are like 6 or 7 weeks, so i'm going to wait a bit longer then.

I always feed the chick starter up until I see the first egg...after that. I switch to pellets. That way I'm sure they are all about to start laying since they are all the same age that are in a cage/coop.
