What am I doing wrong?

I got my incubator going today because I have eggs on the way. I started it early this afternoon. I have a LG still air with egg turner. I am closing in on the temp I have it anywhere between 100-103 and am getting closer to my wanted temps of 101.5-102. But my humidity won't rise. It has been at 34 for the most part of the day and I keep adding water and got it to 35 but why can't I get it to 50? ugh!

Try heating the water before you put it in. The steam will raise the humidity.

35% is good for day 1-18

My normal hum is... day 1-18 30%-40%
on day 18 up hum to 60%-65%

To get hum higher closer to hatch time you can wet a few new sponges (with hot water) and put them in the bator !!
