What am I seeing here?

Today I noticed this dark streak under the beak of my buff Orpington. This is new today, she’s typically solid golden color here.
Her behavior is normal.

I’m wondering if I’m seeing dried dirt or blood… this evening I’ll have help to look her over and make sure there’s no injury.

Ideas on what I’m seeing here? Any thoughts or suggestions what I should be looking/watching for?

It looks like it could be mud or dried blood, update us when you can take a closer look.

It would be a good idea to pick her up and examine the area to make sure there's no abrasions/wound and to figure out if she's just dirty or if there's cause for concern.

You might wait till she goes to roost so you don't have to chase her. Keep it dark and just use a little flashlight so you don't disturb all the chickens.
