Do you like green eggs and ham?

Oops wrong forum.

OK, so my question is... I saw these tiny little birds on the telephone wire today while I was feeding the ducks and chickens their supper.

And it made me wonder what they were? Any ideas?

They don't look like sparrows. But I'm not sure if we're supposed to actually have canaries native here. So I wonder what they could be.

I'm really lucky I had my phone with me, because they were gone the next moment not long after that.

They are a bit small, so it was hard to get a good pic. You can kind of tell this by comparing their width to the telephone wire depth. (I also had to zoom in as much as the cheap phone would allow.)

What's the location for these photos?

Backyard

Near the vicinity of Utah County, Utah.

And actually I don't recall seeing these types of birds much. And that's part of why I brought it up. (Also don't know if they are natural, or escaped from a teenagers zoo (neighbor's house) somewhere?)

Late late answer. Could they be canaries? Western tanagers are also yellow/orange
