I hatched a chick that was marked barbezieux but it doesn't look like the birds I see with a Google search. It has a crest/Mohawk. Thoughts? About 8 to 10 weeks old. I don't know anything about this breed in all honesty. I bought mixed rare breed eggs from a very reputable breeder. If it's not a barbezieux, what do you think it is?
The feet are black with white/pink soles.the legs are all black, except the soles. The pictures do not show correctly due to lighting sorry!!
Fearhers all black with a blue iridescent sheen
It hayched with a polish chick(male) at theybare the same size, so a smaller bird.
Very flighty even for being handled daily since hatch.
Gender would be nice too! Though with lack of the color red I'm guessing pullet!
Took as many pics as I could!
