Out of my first litter of chicks who are now 8 weeks old, I bought 10 S/R from Tsc. Well as they have grown I do not know what kind they are. How do you tell the difference between a buff rock and a buff orpington? They are solid buff color but some have white legs and others have yellow legs. Is this common in just rocks or do I have a mixture? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Oh btw.... I lost my first chicken yesterday. I had a piece of metal something up aganist the fence for them to perch on and it got knocked over onto one of my hens and she is now in chickie heaven. I learned my lesson and we built a wooden perch for them to have in there pen. They love it!!
