What Am I?

I have some 10 1/2 week old chicks that I am trying to determine the breed and gender of. When I bought them I was told the father was a NH red and the mothers were either buff orpingtons, black orpingtons, or NH reds. Therefore, we were supposed to have a couple of pure NH reds and some orpington/NH crosses. As they have gotten older we've realized the ones who are supposed to be pure NH reds look nothing like the photos of others I've seen. Here are the ones I'm wondering about:

#1 = Albert
He is supposed to be a pure NH. He does have green tail feathers coming in and looks the most "red". What do you think?

#2 = Mimi
Also supposed to be a pure NH. She is much, much darker than Albert, although when they were younger they looked much more alike. ??

#3 = Pedro
We think he is a male based on behaviors. Also, his comb has started turning red lately. He is about half the size of Albert. At first I thought he was a BO/NH red cross. Now I'm wondering if he's part bantam...?? Is he definitely a "he"?

#4 = Ferdinand
Originally thought "he" was a boy. Now Ferd's looking much more like a girl. "She" is even smaller than Pedro but her comb has not started turning red. Part bantam?? Is she a "she"?

#5 = Rose
I'm pretty sure she's a straight NH red/BO cross but the black tail feathers are throwing me off.

I have 6 other chickens. 5 of them are BOs and the other one is a cross. Her name is Gertrude, but I couldn't get a picture of her...she's much too skittish.

*What I'm thinking is perhaps the mothers weren't all pure bred...maybe they were already crosses from the guy's BOs and NH reds that he originally had.

Any suggestions/thoughts are welcome!

I raised 20 NH's the only NH I see is the #3 cockerel and #5 pullet, #2 looks almost like a hatchery barnevelder ??? And #1 and #4 is a mix

Hmmm...I'm confused then. #3 and #4 look exactly the same (besides the red combs), so if one is a NH, wouldn't they both be? Or vice versa, if one is a mix, wouldn't they both be mixes? Also, #5's picture didn't do her justice...she definitely has some buff orpington in her (all of my other chickens are BOs, and their feather texture is identical, she is only slightly darker in color than them), but not sure what else.

Thanks so much for the insight...I was thinking they definitely weren't NHs like I was told...I guess it will remain a mystery!

#4 got a lot of black in the feathers, suppose it could molt out

And I would say your right on #5 she looks like a Buff Orpington to me as well

It's just Iv'e never seen that much black personally in a NH in the wing. It could be hatchery.

#1 and #3 look like cockerels to me, the rest look like pullets. They all look like mixes to me except #2 (maybe barnevelder like ChickenExtreme said). #5 looks like a buff mix, but can't say for the rest of them.

Yea Buff mix, my bad, had to observe her again, her tail isn't right, shouldn't have black/green

i think they are buff mixed too the only pullet you have looking at them so far is the last pic! All the rest look a lot like roo's as you can see they're colour in the feathers, the 4th one will be a beautiful roo
