I am new to the site and plan on getting 3-5 birds in about a month. I have been reading for weeks and still can decide where to get our birds. I really don't like the idea of big box hatchery, but I am having a hard time finding eggs or chicks locally. I also don't know what breeds. I have looked at Silkies and want some friendly birds that can handle the heat here.
