I inherited 3 hens last week and I'd like to know what breed they are.

They appear to be different breeds as one has red ear lobes and the other has white.

can anyone offer an idea as to what they might be?

The one up front, is there red in it's hackle feathers?

The back pullet, looks to be a White-faced black Spanish, BUT, there's the possibility that she is a Single combed Black Minorca as well. the parents would have had whiter faces than the standard calls for, but I do believe she is a WFB Spanish. The bird to the right of the photo has a better tail spread and appears a longer back. It's possible she's a black Minorca as well, but I can't see her face.

the white ear lobed one could be a minorca; it has the correct color legs. They both could be the same cross showing different attributes. In this case Leghorn has to be in the mix with that white ear lobe.

yes, there is red in her hackle feathers.

Also, i just added 2 RIR's that are approximately 3 - 4 months old to the coop and the existing girls are being real mean and loud... is this normal or should they be seperated?
