i`m in 4-h and i need a good show chicken. do you know any good show chickens, i`d prefer a bantam.

Any breed is a good show chicken. Just find somebody that has good stock near you and see what they have avilablr that you like. This probably wont happen since it is 4h but it always seems that they are really strict when judging silkies

I'd also check with your local 4H Extension Office. They should have a list of club leaders that are active in chicken showing and those leaders will have suggestions for you especially what is easy to find locally. There are often mentors in the 4H Office as well that can give good advice.

You can show chickens of almost all breeds. Any chicken can be a show chicken, though some will be better than others. If you want a bantam, a gentle breed like a Cochin or Silkie might work out well. I've also heard that Modern Games and Old English Games are gentle to their handlers, and they pose well when showing. Pick a breed that relatively common in your area, so that you can get some more easily.
