What are my chances that he's going to stay so nice?

My silkie roo (I rehomed 1 year ago because I had too many roos) was quiet most of the time, even with the bigger boys crowing non stop. He had a big rivalry thing with us and the other roos. We all just called it short man syndrome as he was the only bantam in a flock of dual purpose chickens. The great thing about silkie roos is that if your neighbor suspects you have a rooster and looks over your fence to see they won't find a rooster. That is to say they will be looking for something that looks like what they see on TV, not some cute little muppet.
Bribe neighbors with eggs and if they have kids let them pet your chickens... If they like them, they'll keep quiet about your illegal!

I have a going on two year old dominique named Pete who is a perfect gentleman. To us and his ladies. Always makes sure to find them the best bugs to eat! I just wish he would crow as quietly as yours!

My East side neighbor loves the sound of Storm. Says he makes it sound like home. My West side neighbor didn't even know we had a roo. Said she never heard him. I busted out laughing. She gave me The Look, so I told her, "That's him crowing right now." She didn't even recognize a rooster's crow. So I guess I was all worried for nothing.

Hubby says Storm's crow reminds him of Haiti. Chickens are everywhere and crow all hours of the day and night. Storm crows a bit in the morning around 7 AM and then randomly through the day. Too funny when he gets a good crow on - he stands on tiptoe, flaps like crazy and lets it rip
