I just discovered that one of my Sex Link hens laid 6 eggs, made a nest and is brooding. [IMG] (i was told this would not happen, that they are not brooder types).

Anyways, since she started nesting upstairs in the warmer part of the coop/condo the two other hens, and my roosters will not leave her side or come down. My roosters do not crow as much in the A.M. (which is why I went out to see what was going on).

Why is everyone staying with her????
Is this like the labor and delivery room with hospital guests???[IMG]

Of course it could just be for the the warmth....

As for her going broody, consider that you have special chicken!
